Candyman

About

Los Angeles emcee, originally known as MC Candy Man in the mid/late-80's. Teaming up with Fila Al, who had just founded his independent King Quality Records, they released a couple of records with production help from the west coast Zulu Nation (Afrika Islam & Ice-T). Briefly and loosely affilated with the N.W.A. clique, Candyman can even be seen on the cover of the group's first album (see N.W.A. And The Posse). Eventually Candyman's demo tape of the track "Knockin' Boots" landed the artist a deal onto King Quality Records where he dropped a couple of albums.
