    Carlos Garcia Teruel

Mexican multi-instrumentalist, lyricist, sound artist and electronic musician based in Mexico City.

Founding member of several Mexican new wave, synth-pop, experimental and electronic groups, starting in 1977 with Glissando, inspired by Decibel after meeting Walter Schmidt and Carlos Robledo, and allegedly buying some used synthesizers and sequencers from Capitán Pijama and Size, followed by Old Fashioned (1982) and Volti —the three projects along with his partner Arturo Meade plus other musicians. After the dissolution of Volti's original line-up he started his most notorious project, Silueta Palida, composing and performing by his own until Jaime Herranz joined with electronic and acoustic percussion. Silueta Pálida got a favorable reception and notoriety, even performing in festivals with Las insólitas imágenes de aurora and Bon Y Los Enemigos Del Silencio. Today is considered a cult band.

He collaborated since 1985 with Decada 2 (first called 'Década Hoy') until 2018 along with Mateo Lafontaine, and with Noiselab Records' project Of. He also composes and performs as a solo artist.
