Carsten Valentin Jørgensen

Danish singer and songwriter Carsten Jørgensen (b. May 9, 1950, Lyngby) held the almost unchallenged position as Denmarks most acclamied songlyrics writer for the major part of the 70's and the 80's. Both vocally and lyrically he has a light resemblance to Bob Dylan. Just prior to releasing the first album with his band C. V. Jørgensen, Jørgensen took the middle name 'Valentin'.

Prior to this, in the early 70's, he was involved in the final line-up of the Lyngby-based band Blues Addicts. Some of his earliest songs from his first album , a.o. "Sort Vinter", were recorded first on Blues Addicts demo tapes.
