Caustic Cause was formed in 1980 by TK and JET, who met at a friends' party and found out they had a mutual adoration for the "new scene" in Music, Punk Rock. Slam dancing to the Dead Kennedy's and enjoying the new music, it was fun again! Eventually, they started writing songs together. We were introduced to COLIN, and he got the first drummer, MICKEY playing with us. Then we found RICK, as a second guitar, and Caustic Cause was fulfilled! Later we added DUFF on saxophone and percussion. Playing at Cathay de Grand, Devonshire Downs and many other punk venues of the day, we found Bard's Apollo, where for a year CC would host shows. Caustic Cause, Youth Gone Mad, Symbol Six, Youth Brigade, Saint Vitus Dance Band, among many others, would play almost every weekend. A lot of fun was had but not much money. In 1982 Caustic Cause met KIM whom took over on Drums and we were asked to join a compilation album for Mystic Records, and recorded "My Backyard" on the "We Got Power" and "Look to the Left" on the "Party or go home" albums. But as most good things do, it started falling apart. TK got a gig and left to Europe, so RICK, and then CHIP, took over Bass and "Little Bits" took on second guitar. KIM left and we got ERIC on drums, who is now playing for NOFX. Over the next few years the band fell apart and was gone, however Rick, TK and JET kept in touch over the years, and finally in 2008 the decision was made to do a record.
