Chairlift was an American synth pop band, formed by Caroline Polachek and Aaron Pfenning in 2005 while living in Boulder, Colorado. Patrick Wimberly later joined the band when they moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2007. Aaron Pfenning departed the group in 2010, and the band have remained a duo since, until Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly announced the end of Chairlift in December 2016.
