Charles Jacobie (born in Potchefstroom 1928, died in Nelspruit 1988) was a Country and Western singer from South Africa who sang in both Afrikaans and English and was active mainly between the 1960s and 1980s. Regarded by many as the 'Father of Country Music' in South Africa. He was described as "Die Singende Beesboer" (the singing cowboy, or cattle farmer).
