    Charley Drayton (b.May 9, 1965, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA) is a US drummer, bassist and producer, generally regarded as a multi-instrumentalist.

    Grandson of traditional jazz bassist Charlie Drayton and son of successful jingle and record producer Bernard Drayton.

    Drayton's many credits include working with Herbie Hancock, Taj Mahal, [a=B-52's], The Brecker Brothers, Waylon Jennings, Michelle Branch, Doyle Bramhall II, Ivan Neville, Johnny Cash, Andrés Calamaro, Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Seal, Iggy Pop, Neil Young, Janet Jackson, Courtney Love, The Cult, Robben Ford, Barbara Lynn. He has been drummer for the Australian band, the Divinyls, during two periods - 1990-97 & 2007-2009. Whilst playing drums in the band for two of their albums, ([m147451] (1991) and [r1563785] (1996), where Drayton produced Underworld). He was married to Christina Amphlett, the lead singer of the Divinyls from 1999 until her death on April 21, 2013.
