Bragg was the chief engineer at Johnny Cash's "Q" studio in Hendersonville, TN with Roger Tucker and Joe Simpkins under him. Bragg was also vice president of the House of (Johnny) Cash. Bragg received numerous engineering awards including being named Billboard's country music engineer of the year in 1972. In 2014, he received a lifetime achievement award from the Audio Engineering Society's Nashville Chapter.
Bragg recorded the first live album made at a prison: Johnny Cash's "At Folsom Prison."
