Chris Connelly

About

Chris Connelly grew up in Edinburgh where he had formed his first band, Finitribe, in 1984. After meeting with Al Jourgensen in November, 1986, in London's Southern Studios, the two collaborated on several projects, with Connelly largely taking the role of songwriter and vocalist. Shortly after, he moved to Chicago and became a part of the evolving Chicago industrial scene. In 1990 he began working with Martin Atkins in several groups. By that time he had started moving away from industrial music into mode that more resembled his pop influences of the 70's. In 2007 he wrote "Concrete, Bulletproof, Invisible + Fried: My Life As A Revolting Cock," a book about his studio and touring experiences in the years from 1986 to 1992. He has also published a collection of poetry, "Confessions Of The Highest Bidder."
