Italian record producer, composer and arranger. Born in Rome, 18 June 1946, and died in the Philippines, 8 November 2025.

Began his career in the music industry in 1972 in Italy, managing the world-renown Piper Club of Rome. He began organizing concerts for talent such as Sly & the Family Stone, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Colosseum, Manfred Mann, Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, and more.

After meeting world-renown writer/producer Bobby Hart in 1973, Christian moved to Los Angeles to administer Bobby's music publishing catalog, FATHER MUSIC, and at the same time, established his own DE WALDEN MUSIC catalog. Bobby Hart and his writing partner, Tommy Boyce were initial writers/producers for the Monkees and wrote such big hits as "Last Train to Clarksville," "(Theme From) the Monkees," "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," "I Wanna Be Free," and "Valeri."

In 1981, with long time friend Michael Holm, Christian de Walden established DE WALDEN/HOLM MUSIC GROUP OF COMPANIES. These companies published several major US hits such as "I'll Still Be Loving You" by Restless Heart, which was nominated for a Grammy, won the ASCAP "Country Song of the Year" and "Best Country Song" at the 1987 Country Music Awards. "I.O.U.," a major hit by Lee Greenwood, picked up the coveted nomination in 1983.

Last, but certainly not least, "Over You" was included in the Academy Awards Winning Film Tender Mercies and was nominated for the renowned Oscar.

Several other number 1 hits followed by various country recording stars such as Reba McEntire, Anne Murray, E.T. Conley, and Gary Morris. In addition to Pop hits by Bad English, Loverboy, Eddie Money, Barry White, Aretha Franklin and the Four Tops, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Cheap Trick. From 1990 to 1998, they had much success with international and Latin hits by top artist Audrey Landers, Nikka Costa, Thomas Anders, Marta Sánchez, Calo, Taka Boom, Laura Branigan, David Hasselhoff, Mestizzo, Paul Bennet, Demis Rousoso, and Xuxa.

For the past fourteen years, Christian has concentrated on the booming Latin and South East Asian Markets and his first effort at this was the Marta Sanchez record, Mujer, which to date has sold more than 1.2 million units worldwide. Marta's second record, Mi Mundo reached 450,000 units; while follow up records Azabache, Desconocida, and Soy Yo have each surpassed 250,000 units and continue to sell steadily.

Mexican group Calo reached 360,000 units in Mexico, US, and Latin markets with Sin Miedo, which included smash hit "Formas de Amor" and "El Cubo." Mestizzo stormed the Latin charts with Tequila featuring the smash single "El Tongoneo," which was Miller Life's 1997 campaign in the United States.

He has also produced hits for Amanda Lear, Bonnie Bianco, Brigitte Nielsen, Vanna Vanna, The Three Degrees and others.
