Referred to as "Cape Town's Jazz Hop Rockers", Chromoscience emerged out of the backing band for one Waddy Jones during the then-incarnation of Max Normal.
The trio consists of turntablist/gizmo operator Simon Ringrose (better known as Sibot, Mark Buchanan (guitar/bass/samples), and Sean Ou Tim (AKA Mr. Sakitumi, of Lark and Naked fame) taking care of bass/drums/keys/samples.
"Their concerts to date have seen them entertain a wide spectrum of audiences; from dimly-lit, urban culture club settings of street bars playing to a mixture of hip hop heads and rockers to the pomp and ceremony of glossy corporate awards ceremonies".
