Born Gary McDaniel, Chuck Dukowski was the founding bass player and a songwriter for Black Flag, for whom he played with from 1978 until 1983. Prior to his tenure in Black Flag, he founded the band Würm which he resurrected in 1982 while Black Flag was involved in a lawsuit with Unicorn Records which barred Black Flag from recording. In 1985, Chuck formed SWA, who existed until 1992. Chuck was also co-owner of Unicorn Records until late 1989 and continued to work for the label until 1997. Today, he leads the Chuck Dukowski Sextet, which also includes his wife, Lora Norton, and his oldest son, Milo Gonzalez.
