About

Canadian producer, manager, and record company executive, mainly with longtime partner Don Grashey. In 1960, he and Grashey discovered Loretta Lynn and released her first single "I'm A Honky Tonk Girl" on their Vancouver label Zero (5). In 1965 Williams and Grashey founded Zero (5) and publisher Zero (5). They moved the operation to Hollywood, California in 1966 but returned to Canada in 1969, setting up shop in Thunder Bay, Ontario where they founded Zero (5).
