Claes Antonsen

Danish drummer. Member of the Århus-based early 80's soul-pop band Elevatordrengene, fronted by a young Thomas Helmig. Elevatordrengene never recorded, but when Helmig went solo Antonsen and like the rest of Elevatordrengene became Helmig's backingband Thomas Helmig Brothers. At the same time he played with Henning Stærk Band and became a popular tour- and session drummer, especially with artist connected to the Genlyd label. Has continued working with Thomas Helmig, also as live bandleader.
As member of Zindy Kuku Boogaloo he was part of the house band for the danish TV Show "Venner For Livet", as well as member of the house band The Antonelli Orchestra for the danish version of "Dancing with the Stars", "Vild Med Dans".
