French saxophonist and band leader, born 23 July 1923 in Paris, France, died 6 October 2006 in Poissy, Yvelines, France.

He began in a trio in a Latin Quartier cellar, Le Lorientais, in 1945 and became leader of the New Orleans Revival in France. He played at the 1948 Nice Jazz Festival and from 1949 played at the Paris Vieux Colombier with Sidney Bechet.
