Claustraphobia

From the UK. Formed in 2001. Alternative low profile darkwave musical project now based in Kendal, Cumbria. Influenced by synth, goth and dance music. Sole contributor is Klaus Devore, which is a pseudonym. Song meanings tend to focus on the darker aspects of life along with a melancholic sound.

Claustraphobia released a number of early recordings in the 2000's via mp3.com in CD format only - the title of the early CD releases include 'Atrocities in Shadow Land', 'Extremities', 'Cicatrix' and 'Fifth Dimension'. None of this early material is available online. Since 2010, Claustraphobia has increasingly posted new material in a digital format via Soundcloud and Bandcamp and more recently via streaming platforms.

Up until 2020, Claustraphobia recorded all music using very primitive software called Pro DJ that was originally available to music producers in 1999. In 2020, Claustraphobia moved to contemporary software and music production because the output from Pro DJ was no longer compatible with modern day music/streaming platforms.

Since 2020, Claustraphobia has released several new albums, singles and cover versions which are available on Bandcamp and most streaming platforms. There have been no physical releases (e.g. CD ) since the early 2000's.
