Client was originally formed by Kate Holmes (former member of Frazier Chorus then Technique) aka Client A and Sarah Blackwood (former member of Dubstar) aka Client B.
In 2002 they were the first signing to Toast Hawaii, the label run by Depeche Mode's Andrew Fletcher.
After the split with Toast Hawaii in 2005, Client was signed by different labels like Toast Hawaii (for Europe except UK and Scandinavia), Toast Hawaii (for Scandinavia), Toast Hawaii (USA) and Toast Hawaii (Mexico). In the UK they release on band member Kate Holmes' own label Toast Hawaii.
On December 19th 2010, Client B left the band. Nicole Thomas has been recruited for vocal duties.
