About

COMMANDMENT was formed in December 1985 as TALON. They changed their name in May 1986 to COMMANDMENT as TALON was the name of an already astablished band in Chicago. Dave Nava joined in September of 1987 just in time to record "ENGRAVED IN STONE". The main song writers were John and Mike. John did the music and Mike the lyrics and arrangements. Considered a power metal band, the more over the top the better. COMMANDMENT played in Chicago, Milwaukee and Indiana. Tragedy hit the band in September of 1989. Some of the band members thought they were bigger than the whole band. Unfortunately this led to the break up of COMMANDMENT.
