Born : November 14, 1936 in Los Angeles, California - Died : February 26, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (After shot in his automobile)
Cornell was an original member of the vocal group "The Flamingos" (a group from Los Angeles, not the Chicago 'Flamingos') (later known as The Platters) from Early 1953 to June 1953 ; he was replaced by Tony Williams.
Cornell Gunter worked also with (among others) : "Big Jay" McNeely, "The Flairs", "The Coasters" (replaced Bobby Nunn), Dinah Washington.
