CoryaYo is a Chicago, US based Producer, Musician and Visionary Artist. Originally from Spencer, Iowa, born (Cory Altenhofen). Known for prolifically producing instrumental albums of vibey, lush, jazz & soul influenced hip hop beats, ambient meditative soundscapes as well as forming two separate rap duos Strangers Of Necessity & Heavily Indicated. Cory also has production credits for artists including Isaiah Rashad, Audio Push, Price, G-Eazy, Vic Spencer, Milo, Loyle Carner, Kota The Friend, Bria Ariel, Akira Rae & more. He is also a visionary artist creating many sacred paintings, drawings and murals.

With 10 years worth of production experience, he continues to hone his skills while releasing feel good instrumental singles and exciting remixes. The beatsmith currently DJ’s and handles production duties within his group, Strangers Of Necessity (S.O.N.) with rapper, Fooch The MC. He also uses Ableton software, sp303, 4 track recorder, Vinyl collection and will often add his own keys to songs. Personal interests other than music include painting, drawing, space and astronomy, record digging, and graphic design among others.
