Cucho Martinez

Venezuelan bassist based on New York. Cucho Martínez had worked and recorded with many outstanding musicians, since Juan Vicente Torrealba in his motherland, also along Ray Mantilla, Paquito D'Rivera and Cedar Walton at EEUU. Cucho Martínez also is a performer of cuatro (venezuelan folk instrument), and miscellaneum percussion.
In 1976 was part as member founder of Andrómeda Jazz Sextet, saddly they never recorded a disc. In this project Cucho Martínez (bass) was accompanied by Rolando Briceño (sax), Roberto Jirón (guitar), [a= Junior Romero] (piano), [a= Iván Velásquez] (drums) and Omar Olivares (congas).
