Hip hop artist Daniel Dumile Thompson (July 13, 1971 - October 31, 2020) is known as both Daniel Dumile and as Daniel Thompson and under a variety of pseudonyms, most notably MF Doom. He began his career in New York with a verse on the 3rd Bass track "The Gas Face" in 1989. He collaborated with many artists, including his brother Dingilizwe Dumile as a member of the group KMD and worked under many different aliases throughout his career. He used to perform while wearing a metal face mask.
