American jazz drummer.
Born : November 29, 1902 in New York City.
Died : December 06, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.
Began his career in 1920 when he joined Sophie Tucker's Kings of Syncopation. In 1924, he moved to Chicago to work with Wayne King. Later, he played with Bobby Hackett, George Brunies, Eddie Condon, and many other Dixieland greats. In May 1950, his band, [a=Danny Alvin's Kings of Dixieland], cut four sides for Rondo (2) in Chicago.
