    His career began in 1915 when he sang in the cabarets of Marseille. He moved to Paris in 1926 and he sang at "Le Petit Casino", "L'Européen", "Le Palace", "Le Théâtre de l'Etoile", "Le Trianon", Le Théâtre de L'Empire", he also acted in Marcel Pagnol's comedies.
