Dark Buddha Rising

Psychedelic drone/sludge/doom metal band from Laitila, Finland. Founded in 2007 as a trio by Vesa Ajomo, Jukka Rämänen and Petri Rämänen.

In 2017 Vesa Vatanen "has withdrawn from the front of the amps to the production sanctum and remains in the circle as a creative force. There won't be a substitute, yet the amps remain the same."

In April 2020 the band became a trio again (founding members Vesa Ajomo, Jukka Rämänen and Petri Rämänen), has posted an announcement, and went on hiatus, while the album "Mathreyata", recorded in 2018-2019, was released on November 13 2020.

In 2022 new project called "[a=Entheomorphosis]" emerged with the following lineup: VA (Vesa Ajomo), LM (Lassi Männikkö), LK (Lauri Kivelä) and JPK (J-P Koivisto) (note: Entheomorphosis was formed in 2021).

Dark Buddha Rising has posted several announcements teasing the project is still existing/alive: on August 29, 2022; on April 2, 2023; and on January 14, 2024.
