Das Heeresmusikkorps 7

Military band of the German Army (Heer) of the Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). It is the first and oldest German military band of the Bundeswehr. The band was founded in 2 January 1956 and was previously based in Düsseldorf (disbanded).

The Heeresmusikkorps 7 was founded in 2 January 1956 under the name "Musikkorps III A" and was initially based in Andernach. In 16 March 1959 the band was renamed "Heeresmusikkorps 12" and in 1961 the band was moved to the 7. Panzerdivision in Düsseldorf. In 1 April 1964 the band was renamed "Heeresmusikkorps 7". The Heeresmusikkorps 7 was decommissioned at the end of 2006 as part of the Bundeswehr reform and the dissolution of the 7. Panzerdivision, The band was dissolved in 30 June 2007.
