The Swedish band Date had another name during the first four years, from 1993 to1997. Then in 1997, the orchestra was renamed to Date. And as Date, the orchestra has competed in the Swedish version of the Eurovision Song Contest. As early examples of hit singles for the orchestra are: "Om Du Förlåter Mig" and "Hörde Änglarna Viska Ditt Namn". Current members in the band since 2014 are: Jan Lindberg - bass, vocals; Björn Headlam - keyboards; Jesper Grahn - guitar, vocals; Peter Hecktor - drums.
