Canadian singer, songwriter & harmonica player best known as a member of The Ugly Ducklings.
After the Ducklings broke up, he founded the Toronto band GNU (1969), before joining Port Credit, Ontario band Pappa Grey in 1971. In 1973 he founded the Toronto band The Mix, which eventually started performing as The Ugly Ducklings. He later performed & recorded with The Cameo Blues Band.
In 1990 he founded The Crackerjack Blues Band in Lindsay, Ontario and later that same year Sleight Of Hand. In 1991 He founded The Bystanders who then became reDucks. In the 2000s he re-formed the Crackerjack Blues Band and played with the band Rhythm Pot Pi.
In the 2010s he recorded & performed with the Ontario group The Road and the San Miguel Allende, Mexico, band The Lost Chords.
Originally from Scarborough, Ontario, Byngham moved to Toronto in 1965, and to Fenlon Falls, Ontario in 1979, and often travels to and performs in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
