David Carradine was an American actor, born December 8, 1936, in Hollywood, California, USA, and died June 3, 2009, in Bangkok, Thailand. He was the son of John Carradine and half-brother of Keith Carradine and Robert Carradine. Among his more than 200 credits as an actor, he appeared as Caine (or "Grasshopper") in the TV series 'Kung Fu' (1972-75), in Hal Ashby's 'Bound for Glory' (1976) as Woody Guthrie, in Ingmar Bergman's 'The Serpent's Egg' (1977) as Abel Rosenberg, and in Quentin Tarantino's 'Kill Bill' (2003-2004) as Bill.
