British singer, songwriter, TV celebrity, and vocal coach.
Born: 8 August 1956 in Hackney, London, England, UK.
After Linx disbanded, he pursued a solo recording career with four albums between 1983-1990. His biggest hit in US is "Stop And Go" from his debut album in 1983, produced by Steve Levine. He achieved a pop crossover in 1985 with his duet with Jaki Graham for the cover of "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love" (from his second album), originally performed by Spinners in 1972, a success that was repeated with his next duet with Jaki Graham for the Todd Rundgren-penned single "Mated", originally performed by Utopia the same year. Both duet singles were produced by Derek Bramble as was his duet with West Street Mob's Sabrina Gillison on "Take My Heart".
His third album was produced by Bob Carter and his last one by Mike Stevens. In the 1990's he released the single "Hurt" in 1992, produced by Norman Cook and in 1999 he was guest to Dave Lee's Foreal People for "Shake" performed along with his wife Carrie Grant.
He has contributed as a session singer in releases of Central Line, Kajagoogoo, L.A. Mix, Hot House, Lighthouse Family, Simon Webbe. He has very wide exposure in British TV as a vocal coach in "Pop Idol" and various other TV talent shows and productions.
