    David Hattner

    David Hattner (b. 1968) is an American clarinetist and conductor, a music director of the Portland Youth Philharmonic. He attended the [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/760307]Interlochen Arts Camp[/url] in the early eighties and studied with Frank Kowalsky at the Interlochen Arts Academy, graduating in 1986. Hattner continued his education at Interlochen Arts Academy with Robert Marcellus, receiving a music degree with honors in 1990.


    In the summer of 1987, David Hattner was selected to perform at the Spoleto Music Festival in Italy. He also won the second prize at the International Clarinet Association's Young Artist Competition in 1988 and joined the American-Soviet Youth Orchestra. Hattner moved to New York and became a principal clarinetist of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra in 1996.
