Swedish indiegarage rock band from Gothenburg. The group's name is taken from De Stijl, a Dutch art group active in the early 20th century.
For the dark melodic pop band from France, see DeStijl.
The group was called a new The Hives and was also compared to The Sonics. They released their debut album Yeahvolution! in 2002, which was produced by Björn Olsson (Soundtrack of Our Lives). From the album, the song "Datetimes" was released as a single the following year. The same year, the band toured Germany with Fireside.
