American hardcore punk band formed in 1982 in Westfield, Massachusetts. The group disbanded in 1984 when 2 of its members, drummer J Mascis and guitarist Lou Barlow, would form Dinosaur Jr.. They briefly reformed in 2004 during a Sonic Youth concert (where Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh were the opening acts).
