Surinamese-Dutch rapper and stand-up comedian, born May 3, 1970 in Paramaribo, Suriname, died March 24, 2024, aged 53, in Utrecht, The Netherlands after a heart failure.
He started his career in 1989 with DJ Git Hyper as the Superzonic Cru, and appeared on the Roots Syndicate hit "Mocking Bird Hill" and Postmen "De Bom". His breakthrough as a solo artist came in 1999 with "Doekoe", a #1 hit in the Dutch singles chart.
He was the first dutch-language rapper to ever hit the top position of the Dutch charts.
