Derrick Bostrom

Derrick Bostrom (born June 23, 1960) was the drummer of the Meat Puppets and remained a member until 1996 when the band effectively went on hiatus. In 2006, when the Kirkwood brothers began playing together again, fans speculated if Bostrom would also be involved in an upcoming reunion, however he quickly dismissed the notion in a post on the Meat Puppets' website.

Bostrom rejoined the Meat Puppets as a returning guest when the band was inducted into the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2017. He later officially rejoined the band in early 2018, quietly and secretly rehearsing with them. His return was formally announced on the Meat Puppets' Facebook page in June of 2018.
