About

Born Christopher Irons on the 16th of Jan 1952, in Morant Bay in St. Thomas, JA. Called "Devon" by his school teacher. He moved to Kingston, Greenwitch Farm where he met Earl Zero with whom he wrote the song "None Shall Escape" (it will never be credited).
He will produce himself his first song "Last None Train" by setting up his own label "Cannon Ball Records" in 1975 and will sell himself the records ! (which he will repress a second time).
The next year, he went to live in Waterhouse where he met Lee Perry with whom he recorded two other of his compositions, "When Jah Come" & "Ketch Vampire" for which he will be paid in nature by receiving the masters of "Ketch Vampire" that he will be able to repress on his Label ! (the second and last track to be released on Cannon Ball).
He now lives from the product of the land near Hopewell, St Mary, Jamaica with his family

Whatever may be written here or there, Devon Irons has nothing to do with Devon Russell !
