Algeria has always been a fertile ground for rappers. After Lotfi Double Kanon and MBS, the country has its new talent which ensures the next generation of rap, and it is Didine Canon 16. His real name Kheireddine Yousfi, he was born on January 02, 1993 in Staoueli, in the suburbs from the capital of Algiers. He is known for his titles carrying political and social messages, but also for his many clashes. Didine Canon 16, who is married and father of 3 children, began his career in the underground in 2012. The democratization of social networks offered him a real springboard to make himself known to the general public. In 2015, he released his first album “Akhtini Metzewej” which could be translated as “Leave me alone, I am married”. Since then, he has followed up with several albums and singles. Didine Canon 16, with his famous tattoo of the kalash on his neck, represents the street, but he also knows how to adapt to the general public by delivering softer and less vulgar titles.
