About

Die Cheerleader formed in the summer of 1991. Since then they have only had one lineup change. In mid 1992 the original bass player left to be replaced by Debbie Quargnolo. The band itself is an interesting mix. The band’s lead vocalist, Sam Ireland, is Irish. The aforementioned Debbie Quargnolo is Italian, guitarist Rita Blazyca is Scottish and drummer Andy Semple is English. The band played all over England, headlining their own shows and opening for larger acts. Die Cheerleader split up in 1996.
