Dirty Lips was founded in 1989 in Hamburg, Germany by D.D. (Bass), Frank (Guitars & Vocals), Roger (Drums) and Thomy (Leadguitars). The four immediatly started touring in 1990 and gathering quite a following. D.D, Frank, Roger & Thomy won a contest in 1991 to record an early demo of three songs, which ended up on the 1993-album "Nothing's Better Than Your ...". They spent almost 8 weeks recording and engineering their first CD at Crossroads studio. After parting with guitar-player Thomy (he quit because of personal reasons), the band released a CD-single "Won't Cry" in 1998 as a three-piece. From 2000-2001 D.D., Frank and Roger played a few shows with guitarrist "Wenzel", then put the band on a hiatus until 2005 when they rejoined with original lead-guitar-player Thomy. The four of them started recording the follow-up-album "From Nothing To Now" in 2007, parting ways with Thomy again. He recorded five songs with the band and was not able to finish the whole CD. He was replaced by Roger younger brother Marco, who played on the remaining songs. "From Nothing To Now" was produced by Frank Haas and engineered and mixed by Markus Utke. It was released on their own label "Dirty Lips Records" on June 1st of 2012. D.D., Frank, Marco and Roger recorded a musicvideo for their single "Losing My Mind" starring German Porn Star "Sweet Sophie" in the end of the year. The band was saddened by the news that Thomy died in November 2012. RIP.
