DJ Sandrinho

DJ Sandrinho, originating from the favela do Borel en Rio, started deejaying regularly and playing in the community radio stations of Rio’s favelas at the age of 12.

In 1999 he got selected among 50 winners of a contest to be resident DJ of undefined. In 2000 he became the official DJ of Mr. Catra and toured with him for 4 years all over Brazil.
In 2005, Sandrinho went on his 2nd european tour with many dates i.e. the Cannes Film Festival for the release party of Brazilian movie “Cidade Baixa” and the opening of Techno Parade in Paris. His first 12" Baile Funk Masters #1 was released in Germany in 2007.
He mixes traditional Brazilian style with more electro sounds, as well as disco and rock.
