Stage name: 森田童子 (Morita Dōji). Japanese female singer-songwriter. Born January 15, 1952 in Tokyo, died April 24, 2018. Released six albums, one live album and four singles between 1975 and 1983, when she retired. Since then one newly recorded track has appeared on a compilation, but she never returned to live performance. Her real name is 中西美乃生 (Minobu Nakanishi). Her uncle is a lyricist なかにし礼 (Rei Nakanishi). Her father 中西正一 / Shoichi Nakanishi was a pilot of the zero fighter plane during World War II. He was a survivor of the special attack corps, so he lived a rough life after the war. And he went bankrupt in a number of companies he founded with a large debt from his younger brother Rei Nakanishi, but he continued to play hard. Rei Nakanishi and his old brother Shoichi Nakanishi (Douji Morita's father) scouted a country girl named 堀川麗子 / Reiko Horikawa, who was the number one young hostess in Ginza, who came to Tokyo from Kyoto. They made Ado Promotion, a talent office established for Jun Fubuki, They had Shoichi Nakanishi's friend and illustrator 前田亜土 / Ado Maeda (Real name 前田正春 / Masaharu Maeda, later husband of Doji Morita) become president. The talent Jun Fubuki, who belongs to their office, was dissatisfied with the low salary. Rei Nakanishi, Shoichi Nakanishi, and Ado Maeda filed an abduction and confinement case on September 12, 1974 when Jun Fubuki attempted to move to another office. They used Mafia to confine Jun Fubuki and force her to give up on the office transfer. At that time, Ado Maeda was in charge of the manager of Doji Morita. She retired to marry her father's friend and her manager, 前田亜土 (Ado Maeda). Morita Doji's husband, Ado Maeda, died on October 31, 2010. Minobu Maeda, also known as Doji Morita, died lonely on June 12, 2018. She had been suffering from depression for eight years after Ado Maeda died. She is believed to have died of heart failure a week before her body was discovered.
