Dominique Peccatte

Dominique Peccatte (15 July 1810—13 Jan 1874) was a renowned French archetier, brother of François (1820—1855) and uncle of Charles Peccatte (1850—1918), also notable bow-makers. Peccatte learned his oeuvre in Mirecourt and worked at Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume's workshop in Paris from 1826 to 1837. Peccatte's bows are typically heavy and sturdy, with "hatched-shaped" heads reminiscent of Tourte's iconic design.
