Don Bajema (b. June 1949, St. John's, New Foundland, Canada) is an American writer, actor and spoken word performer based in New York City. He authored two critically-acclaimed collections of short stories, "Reach" and "Boy in the Air," originally published in 1996 by 2.13.61 Publications. In the 1990s, Bajema extensively toured in the US, Canada and Europe as a spoken-word artist, working with Henry Rollins, Hubert Selby Jr., Lydia Lunch, Jim Carroll and various other distinguished authors and musicians. As an actor, he debuted in the West Coast premiere of [url=https://discogs.com/artist/622088]Sam Shepard[/url]'s "Curse of the Starving Class." Don Bajema extensively collaborated with Rob Nilsson, an independent director and filmmaker, first appearing in his 1984 film Signal Seven. He played in Nilsson's Heat and Sunlight, which won the Grand Prix award at the 1988 Sundance Film Festival and wrote a screenplay for the '96 movie Chalk.
