Donald McDiarmid Sr.

Don’s family relocated to Honolulu, and Don was soon a successful hapa haole songwriter and orchestra leader. Don McDiarmid was a positive force in the careers of Hilo Hattie and Alfred Apaka. Donald McDiarmid Sr. is the founder of Hawaii-based Hula Records (1947). He was the father of Don McDiarmid, Jr. and grandfather of [a3233917].
