Rapper from The Bronx, New York City. Born January 4, 1980. Drag-On got his start selling mixtape CDs/cassettes of New York artists such as future label-mates DMX & The Lox, which lead to the Ruff Ryders head Dee buying some and being impressed enough by Drag-On's own raps to sign him. Originally calling himself "Sabertooth Dragon", DMX suggested it would be better if he simplified it to Dragon and also suggested the stylized "Drag-On".
