Drowning in Phemaldehyde

Drowning In Phemaldehyde is a slamming brutal death metal band from Charleston, South Carolina. They formed in 2007 by Mark Rawls (Vocals/ Drums, also in Kretan, Sikfuk, Guttural Engorgement, The Empty Tomb) and Sebastien (Guitar / Bass, also in Darkall Slaves, Amputated Repugnance).

DiP started out as a two piece band quickly recruiting Josh (Guitar, Bass) and Paul (Bass) for debut demo “Blistering” in 2007, which saw a release in 2008. However, Josh and Paul soon left for other interests leaving the band once again to its core two members.The group would then release their album "Blistering Corpse Abortion" in 2009, only to disband shortly after in 2010.

In 2021, the group was reactivated as Drowning In Formaldehyde with Mark Rawls on vocals and Nilmar Buenaflor on instruments.
