She won the 2018 APCA Revelation trophy and has had her debut album included in Rolling Stone's list of the ten best brazilian albums of the year. She was born in Recife, Brazil on October 8, 1987. Her stage name "Duda Beat" was adopted in honor of the Manguebeat countercultural movement.
