Dynamax Roberts Born Joe Wayne Edmontson Roberts 1972 in the Bronx, New York. Raised by his late Mother Marilyn Roberts & Platinum love song writer & Producer, Larry Roberts. Dynamax Stepfather, Larry, left a great impression and a string of hit songs. Collaborations from Soul Music Gods like Eddie Kendricks from The Temptations, The O'Jays, The Moments aka Ray Goodman& Brown, The Escorts, and Sylvia Robinson & George Kerr to name a few. This became the blueprint for a young Dynamax Roberts to follow later in life.
His Mother didn't know the Music Business, so Dynamax had to take to the road paying many dues as he ventured out to the West side of Chicago to spend time with his biological Father. This is where he self-educated himself on Music and once Dynamax turned 18 he then decided to return home to NYC where he would work in the mail room of time warner and hang out at night clubs searching for the right contact to launch his music career.
Dynamax made connections with many & eventually became friends with the likes of famed graffiti artist Zimad who linked him to Barrie Cline, the woman from the art gallery world. Barrie then introduced Dynamax to Monte Cristo, George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic's European management team.
Dynamax signed on his first international feature with the producer Grand Master Dee Nasty who is the Father of Europe’s Hip-Hop scene in 1994. Thanks to Monte, a great path opened to getting him signed to Universal Europe in 2000 to 2004. Universal bought Polydor Polygram France.
Dynamax made a gold record in the French market under a group called “One T” in 2002 -2003 which is a cross over with electronic dance music and pop rock. Dynamax has over 60 records published from featuring’s including movie scores and trailers like Luc Besson film Yamasaki where Dynamax and music Producer Marc 'em provided song High Energy.
Dynamax has toured 30 countries’ so far becoming “The Ambassador of Hip-Hop” a titled he earned from Kool DJ Herc, the Father of the Hip Hop culture. Also adding to that title is the time spent DJing and performing with The US Embassy for 6 years in 13 African Nations.
More recently The Biden administration awarded Dynamax Roberts with the Silver humanitarian award for all his work around the world. Dynamax had a residence card in France based off his deal for ten years allowing him to tour nonstop making Paris his base.
Dynamax was offered a chance to do radio on 88.2 Generations in Paris, the third biggest Hip-Hop station out there, he titled his show “Live from New York”! His show started in 1999 through the summer of 2003, this was an experience he would never forget.
Dynamax left France for the United Kingdom where he would live for a few years and while living the “British life” he made friends with rock n roll writer and legend Kris Needs who would form a group with Dynamax called “Years of the Canine”.
This was a rock project with no end, many celebs added on like Dom Beken who is under the Pink Floyd Family the project was released in the United States 2019 on OMO Entertainment LLC. and received an award for best rock rap album for “Underdog Nation Vol. 1”.
Dynamax received a lifetime award from the Hip-Hop World Council in the United Kingdom in 2013. Dynamax would later receive another award from Dinahlynn Biggs with her associated radio partners Biggs Radio Media Group/WOSD Radio.
Ms.Biggs has created her very own Radio Station Titled Biggsradio.com. The story goes, she asked Dynamax to bring his DJ/MC skills on the air, and so he did, his Show "Live From New York" has been running 3 years under the Biggs Radio network.

Dynamax has also recently appeared on the new tribute album “The Task has Overwhelmed Us” which is the life and legacy of The Gun Club’s Jeffrey Lee Pierce. Dynamax is featured on the song “Bad America”.with Sendelica and Wonder. Other Contributing artists on this album include Nick Cave, Debbie Harry (Blondie), and Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) to name a few. This album is also released Sept 29, 2023.
