About

A British indie rock band from Eastbourne, East Sussex. Forming in 1996 under the name Beachy Head, they renamed themselves to Easyworld - inspired by the lyrics in their song 'Better Ways To Self Destruct' - after recording a number of demos.

Originally signed to Fierce Panda the band were picked up by Jive Records after the release of their mini-album ...Better Ways To Self Destruct. In 2002 the group released their debut album 'This Is Where I Stand', which featured the singles 'Junkies', 'Bleach', 'Try Not To Think' and the cult hit 'You & Me'.

In 2004 the trio released their follow up 'Kill The Last Romantic', which came as a standard and limited edition CD versions. Jive was then sold to BMG, who dropped Easyworld due to "lack of confidence". The group split soon after the release of their final single 'How Did It Ever Come To This?'.

David "Dav" Ford would go on to create a long running solo career where he would on occasion perform acoustic versions of select Easyworld songs on stage.
