    Married to comedian Ernie Kovacs until his death in 1962. Also married third husband, jazz trumpeter Pete Candoli.
    Adams was well-known for her impersonations of sexy stars on stage and television, especially Marilyn Monroe and Mae West. She was also known as Edythe Adams, Edith Adams and Edith Candoli.
    Following her graduation from high school, Edie aspired to become an opera singer and studied voice and piano at New York's Juilliard School of Music. She then went on to take acting classes at the Columbia School of Drama.
